General Conditions
Etcetera Ltd is a shop that sells vintage and mid 20th century furniture and homewares. Due to the nature of our business, the majority of our stock has been used in a former life and is either restored or has been preserved to a saleable condition. Please note that as these items have been used in a previous life, they will be subject to signs of aging and general wear. We have tried to capture this in the photo's and descriptions of each item and although we make every effort to ensure our stock is sold in a sound, safe and usable condition, all items are 'sold as seen'. As we are not the manufacturers, we cannot give any performance or safety guarantees. We advise you conduct your own safety assessment, in particular for items that are to be used in a commercial situation.
How to Pay
All our listings are priced in GBP pounds sterling and exclude delivery charges.
When purchasing from the site we can accept payment via the following credit/debit cards: Mastercard, Visa, Visa Electron, Maestro, Delta, Switch, Solo and Paypal. We can also arrange for payment to be made by bank transfer or cash on delivery for larger bulk purchases, commercial projects or prop hire. Please contact us for details of how to do this.

Returns/Refund Policy
We realise that making purchases online is not easy when you haven't seen or examined the goods. We are happy to discuss items in more detail and, if required, will provide more detail on condition along with photographs. We endeavour to describe all items as fully as possible, to the best of our knowledge, providing as much history, age and detail as is known to us together with a full description of any discernable defects or faults. However, it should be noted that the items that we are selling are antique or vintage items and, as such, may in some cases have some age-related wear. Items that are manufactured some time ago often have marks, dents, variations of surface texture, re-polished surfaces, minor scratches or losses, sympathetic replacements, retouching, relining, and other issues naturally associated with use and age which form a part of the appearance and nature of a vintage item. We aim to ensure that the condition of any item is as reasonable as possible given its age and nature, and would not offer for sale any item that is not substantially complete or in a minimum acceptable condition for display or use. Substantial damage or extensive restoration or changes or losses to the item beyond this will be stated in our item descriptions. However, small signs of wear are normal and appropriate to the authenticity of vintage goods. By placing an order, you are deemed to acknowledge the vintage nature of the goods we are selling We shall not be liable for any defect in the goods arising from wear and tear, wilful damage, accident and/or negligence by you or any third party, if you use the goods in a way that we or the manufacturers do not recommend, you fail to follow the manufacturer’s and/or our instructions, or due to any alteration or repair you carry out without our prior written approval We recommend that all electrical goods are inspected, tested, certified and installed by a qualified electrician. We also recommend that vintage electrical goods are protected by an "RCD". We will not be liable for any loss, injury or death caused by electrical goods that have not been inspected, tested and certified by a qualified electrician We want you to be pleased with your purchase, but if you are unhappy with it we would like you to get in touch with us. We will provide a full refund of the purchase price (excluding all transportation costs) if the item falls short of your expectations, providing the item is returned to us in it's original condition, and within seven days of your receipt of it.Privacy/Security Policy
We respect your privacy rights so any records on our customers are strictly private and confidential and are securely stored along with all e-mails and payment details on our host's encrypted database and will never be passed onto a third partyWe do not store credit/debit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.
